My name is Tommy Hunter, founder and creative director of Business Buffoon. Let’s talk about me.
Having graduated from The Second City Conservatory in Los Angeles and The Groundlings Writing Lab, I am an officially certified comedy specialist, which is totally a real thing that you don’t need to look up.
As a comedian I know how to write material that makes everyone laugh…except those who don’t…like my mom, and Germany. I’ve also been in several commercials and auditioned for many more. Along the way I was exposed to a lot of commercial copy for a wide variety of products and services. I learned first-hand what works and what doesn’t.
I’ve also spent several soulless years in the marketing and procurement departments of major studios in Hollywood. Along the way I was internally subjected to loads of corporate-speak and insufferably boring meetings and materials that were ineffective, or worse, ignored.
With the skills and scars I’ve gained through these direct experiences, I started Business Buffoon to help companies and organizations avoid these sins by strategically incorporating humor into their communications & content and building cultural awareness around their brands and initiatives.
